If you are thinking about upgrading or replacing your existing equipment, or simply wondering what to buy for your first venture into the world of computers, we can advise you on what equipment to buy that best suits your needs.

Repairs

Perhaps you've just spilled your drink all over your keyboard, your computer won't start or your printer refuses to feed paper. Whatever the problem, give us a call. We can't guarantee to be able fix everything, but we can certainly try.

Troubleshooting

We relish a problem to get our teeth into and we absolutely hate being beaten by badly-behaved computers. Give us your worst problem and see if we don't have an answer. We've been doing this sort of thing a long time and we've tackled most of the strangest ones.

Upgrades

There comes a time in most computers' lives when they start either choking up or aren't quite the speed monster you originally bought. We can upgrade memory (RAM) to make it run smoother or replace ageing graphics cards or CPUs (microprocessors). Failing that, a rebuild can work wonders.

Data backup and recovery

You've heard the horror stories about people losing important data when their PC blew up, or a virus that chewed its way through all their files. Those are the times when a backup device and strategy would have been their insurance policy. Get yourself an external storage device (tape, hard disk, USB memory stick) and use one of the myriad of free backup software tools out there. It's not difficult - and we can help.
We get asked a lot to sort out PCs that won't start up and the customer is naturally worried that they have lost their data. Unless it's a catastrophic event such as a faulty hard disk (very rare) we can nearly always get your data back. You'd be surprised.

Networking

Networking, especially connecting to the Internet is becoming crucial to everyday life for many people. We can advise on which Internet Service Provider to go for, or to install a network that links all your computers together, whether at home or in the office. Perhaps you want to surf the internet from the sofa, or in the shed at the bottom of the garden. We can provide a network system to achieve that, be it wireless or wired.
