Chipnet are a UK-based IT company in Basingstoke, Hampshire specialising in supporting home and small business PC-users. We have extensive knowledge in a large array of technologies and software. Some of our staff have been in the computer industry for over 24 years!

What we do

Troubleshooting is our speciality but we can also quote and supply new computer systems and software. The bulk of our business is in PC rebuilds. Our philosophy is to prefer a rebuild rather than troubleshoot.

The reason for this is simple: when we look at your machine that:

• won't start up

• crashes spontaneously

• has become sluggish

• behaves erratically

- then we would rather perform a proper fix, not apply a sticking plaster. This means a total rebuild from the 'bare metal' up.

The rebuild approach may be more costly, but you can be sure that the problems you were having will disappear and the machine will behave faster and more reliably whereas the 'sticking plaster' approach will inevitably cause the problem to re-occur.
